Kevin Kipkirui

Bridge Academy, Sotik: Bomet County, Kenya.

Kevin is in Class 5 at Bridge Academy, Sotik in Bomet County, Kenya. He excels both in and out of the classroom, with good grades and as Secretary of the school ‘ECO’ Club which tidies the school, the local neighbourhood and looks after animals. He says “since I joined Bridge, I have become fluent in English and more active in and out of the classroom.”

Kevin’s father is really pleased with his progress, saying “Bridge offer quality education and Kevin is the testimony.” It’s not just his father who is proud of him, Kevin’s teachers tell us he is ‘excellent’, ‘diligent’ and ‘determined’ having scored 397 out of 500 marks in his Class 4 end of term exams. All this is possible because Kevin was lucky enough to benefit from sponsorship and the generosity of someone who wanted to change a child’s life.

Bridge schools are located in communities living in extreme poverty. They give parents a choice and children the chance to fulfil their dreams. Alongside delivering strong academic results, they take a holistic approach to education, championing the value of co-curricular activities in helping a child to become self-confident, develop teamwork and leadership skills and have fun learning.

If, like Kevin, you want children to be able to fulfil their potential in great schools in a – sponsor a child today.
