Philip G. Wreh
Principal in Liberia
Thirty-seven year old, Albert Dolo is the Principal of Cinta Public school in Margibi County, which lies to the east of the Liberian Capital, Monrovia.
Albert was born and raised on a rubber plantation just down the road from his school and became a teacher as a way of ‘giving back’ to his community, especially its children. Day-to-day he has responsibility for 258 of them and 11 teachers. He loves his job and says: “I cycle 20 minutes to get to school each day and look forward to being a part of the positive learning environment fostered by Bridge. I particularly enjoy the interaction with my students.”
In the short video below, you’ll hear what a difference Bridge has made to the learning experience in his school. He says: “When we are comparing the traditional type and the new way of teaching, there are some differences. The children are not taking part in the lesson; but when Bridge came in the teacher is teaching and, the children are also taking part.”
