Teacher in Liberia
Francis Blamo is a charismatic teacher who feels ‘ecstatic’ at the wide array of technologies at his disposal to showcase to his pupils!
Despite having taught at J.T. Nimely Public School for an impressive 40 years, Blamo says that he feels the same level of drive and enthusiasm as he did when he started.
Blamo gleefully explained that he, “loves teaching, it helps [him] to also learn every day, and [he] loves the kids too so this school is now [his] home.” His dedication to his pupils is abundantly clear, and the vast improvements to their learning is evidence of this.
The Liberian Education Advancement Program (LEAP; formerly Partnership Schools for Liberia) has enhanced the classroom experience of Kindergarten-level children at J.T. Nimely Public School by providing life-changing training courses for teachers as well as brand new technologies, something that Blamo is grateful for.
Due to the large smile on his face and the friendly nature of his teaching techniques, his pupils can’t wait to learn even more with one of their favourite teachers!
