Teacher in Liberia
Meet Gayflor Mulbah, Vice Principal and Grade Five teacher at Bridge Liberia Kendeja Public School. This is Gayflor’s 11th year being a teacher, and he has been at his current school for three years since being transferred from rural Liberia.
He says: “It’s amazing being with pupils and seeing them develop.” Gayflor explains that he loves his job and that he’s found the techniques he learnt at training are really effective in making education viable for everybody.
As Vice Principal, Gayflor always goes the extra mile. He says he wakes up early every morning to arrive before the rest of the staff. This is helping him to better support the other teachers, ensuring they teach the right lessons and helping them to sync their tablets properly.
Gayflor feels that providing routine support like this enables proper learning in the classroom, and the opportunity to help others has also made him a better person!
