Academy Manager in Nigeria
Meet Lorretta Olyolo, the hardworking academy manager of Bridge, Rafiat Ayinke in Lagos. She relishes the opportunity to make her school even better every day.
One of the aspects of being an academy manager that Lorretta finds most helpful is the smartphone. “I like the smartphone because it allows me to keep track of when teachers are in school. On the smartphone, they can sign-in for the day and also receive their schedules, so they know which class they need to be in and when. It’s wonderful,” she says.
Lorretta also uses the smartphone to track pupils’ progress. “The smartphone also holds data on each pupil in the academy. It allows me to see their test scores so that I know where they may need to improve on. This means that I can talk to individual teachers about individual pupils, and where they’re struggling.”
