Norman Ochieng Barasa

Pupil, Kenya

Aspiring doctor, Norman is a Class 8 pupil from Bridge, Dandora 5 Estate—he’s been at Bridge for seven years now. He says: “Bridge is a good school because it has experienced teachers who teach well and they always make sure that no pupil will leave a class without understanding what they have been taught.”

As a candidate who’s set to sit for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams, Norman has been preparing quite intensely.

“We are always revising with our teachers. After each topic, I make sure that I have understood it before moving on to the next topic. I make use of my extra hours away from school to revise and I’m always revising at home. ”

Despite all the reading that the candidates are undertaking, Norman understands that ‘all work with no play makes jack a dull boy’. “Co-curricular activities are important because it helps take your mind off exams and ease the stress,” he smiles.
